DRIFTIQUES — Terms & Policies
1. Custom Liveries
Custom liveries are individually designed for each customer based on their vehicle, requirements and agreed design direction.
A. Design & Deposit
A non-refundable deposit is required before any custom design work begins.
The deposit covers the design work and time allocated to creating the custom livery.
The deposit remains non-refundable even if the customer subsequently cancels the project.
If the customer cancels at any stage after the deposit has been paid, DRIFTIQUES will retain the deposit to cover the design work already undertaken and the time reserved for the project.
A design preview will be provided for customer approval before the livery is finalised.
B. Design Approval & Changes
Customers are responsible for carefully checking the design before approving it, including colours, spelling, measurements, graphics and placement.
Once a design has been approved, changes may result in an additional design charge.
Once production or cutting has started, changes or cancellations may no longer be possible.
DRIFTIQUES cannot be held responsible for errors that were present in the approved design and were not brought to our attention before production.
C. Customer Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate vehicle information, measurements and other information required to create the livery.
DRIFTIQUES cannot be held responsible for errors resulting from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.
D. Colours
Colours may appear slightly different between digital screens, design previews and the final vinyl.
Exact colour matching cannot be guaranteed unless a specific vinyl colour or material has been agreed upon beforehand.
2. Pre-Cut Decals
Pre-cut decals are produced according to the design, size, colour and quantity selected by the customer.
Customers are responsible for checking the selected design, size, colour and quantity before placing an order.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the chosen size is suitable for their intended application.
Once a pre-cut decal has entered production, the order cannot normally be changed or cancelled.
Made-to-order or custom pre-cut decals cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective.
Colours may appear slightly different between digital screens and the final vinyl.
Production and delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on current workload.
3. Installation
A. Customer Installation
If the customer chooses to install the decals or livery themselves:
The customer is fully responsible for preparing the surface, applying the vinyl and ensuring correct placement.
DRIFTIQUES cannot be held responsible for incorrect application, misalignment, bubbles, wrinkles, lifting or damage caused during self-installation.
Damage or installation errors caused by the customer are not covered by DRIFTIQUES.
For pre-cut decals, if a decal is damaged or incorrectly applied during customer installation, DRIFTIQUES is not responsible for providing a free replacement.
B. Installation by DRIFTIQUES
If DRIFTIQUES installs the decals or livery:
The vehicle will be washed and appropriately prepared by DRIFTIQUES before the vinyl is applied.
DRIFTIQUES is responsible for the application and placement of the decals or livery until the vehicle leaves the workshop.
Any concerns regarding the installation or placement should be raised before the vehicle leaves the workshop.
Once the vehicle has left the workshop, the care, maintenance and condition of the decals or livery becomes entirely the customer’s responsibility.
4. Vehicle & Paintwork Condition
The condition of the vehicle and its paintwork can affect vinyl adhesion and removal.
DRIFTIQUES cannot guarantee adhesion to damaged, peeling, heavily contaminated, poorly repaired, non-original or insufficiently cured paintwork.
DRIFTIQUES is not responsible for pre-existing damage or defects to the vehicle or paintwork.
If the condition of the vehicle may affect the installation, DRIFTIQUES may discuss this with the customer before proceeding.
When the customer installs the product themselves, ensuring that the surface is suitable, clean and properly prepared is entirely the customer’s responsibility.
5. Care & Maintenance
Once the vehicle has left the DRIFTIQUES workshop, the customer is responsible for properly caring for the decals or livery.
Incorrect washing, aggressive cleaning methods, pressure washing, harsh chemicals or unsuitable cleaning products may damage the vinyl.
High-pressure water should not be directed closely at vinyl edges.
Fading, lifting, peeling, damage or deterioration caused by improper care, environmental exposure, accidents or general wear and tear is the customer’s responsibility.
DRIFTIQUES cannot guarantee a specific lifespan for vinyl, as durability depends on the material used, vehicle use, weather exposure, storage and maintenance.
6. Removal
DRIFTIQUES cannot be held responsible for damage caused during removal where the underlying paintwork is damaged, poorly repaired, non-original or insufficiently cured.
Any pre-existing paint or bodywork issues remain the customer’s responsibility.
Customers who remove decals or liveries themselves are fully responsible for the removal process and any resulting damage.
7. Copyright & Design Ownership
DRIFTIQUES Original Designs
All original designs, graphics, artwork, livery concepts, decal designs and other creative work created by DRIFTIQUES remain the intellectual property of DRIFTIQUES unless otherwise agreed in writing.
This includes designs created for:
Custom liveries / Pre-cut decals / Custom decals / Website products and designs / Social media content / Promotional material /Other designs published or offered by DRIFTIQUES online or in print
Purchasing a livery, decal or other product does not transfer ownership or copyright of the underlying design to the customer.
The customer receives the right to use the purchased design for its intended application, but does not receive ownership of the original artwork or design itself.
8. Use & Reproduction
Without written permission from DRIFTIQUES, customers or other parties may not:
Copy or reproduce DRIFTIQUES original designs.
Modify or recreate designs for commercial use.
Resell, redistribute or offer the designs as their own.
Use DRIFTIQUES designs to produce products for third parties.
Trace, recreate or substantially reproduce designs for commercial purposes.
Remove DRIFTIQUES branding or copyright information where applicable.
DRIFTIQUES reserves the right to take appropriate action against unauthorised copying, reproduction or commercial use of its original designs.
9. Website & Social Media
DRIFTIQUES retains the rights to original designs and artwork displayed on its website, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other social media platforms or internet publications operated by DRIFTIQUES.
Images, renders, photographs, artwork, livery designs and decal designs published by DRIFTIQUES may not be copied, reproduced, modified or used commercially without written permission.
DRIFTIQUES may also display completed customer projects, designs and installed liveries on its website, social media and other promotional material unless otherwise agreed with the customer in writing.
10. Customer-Supplied Material
Copyright and intellectual property belonging to customers, sponsors, manufacturers, brands, artists or other third parties remains the property of its respective owner.
DRIFTIQUES does not claim ownership of customer-supplied logos, trademarks, photographs or artwork that DRIFTIQUES has been asked to incorporate into a design.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary permission or rights to provide such material to DRIFTIQUES for use in the requested project.
11. Customer Acceptance
By placing an order, paying a deposit or approving a custom design, the customer confirms that they have read and accepted the applicable terms and conditions.
By approving a final design, the customer confirms that they have checked and accepted the design, specifications, colours, spelling, measurements and placement before production.
By choosing DRIFTIQUES installation, the customer acknowledges that DRIFTIQUES is responsible for the application and placement of the decals or livery until the vehicle leaves the workshop. From that point onwards, the care and maintenance of the decals or livery is entirely the customer’s responsibility.
